Program Director

An avionics evangelist, a man in love with machines, and a wizard of the wings, Mr. J Parameshwaran is a living legend in Indian aviation sector. In his 35 years of avionics career, he demonstrated unmatched skills as an Engine Conversion Consultant, at IIT Kanpur, for Low Altitude, Long Endurance (LE) unmanned aerial vehicle (UAV) project. Known for his unique repertoire in the field of auto engine conversions for ultralight aircraft, Mr. Parameshwaran became the first of his kind inventor to use an automobile engine that was fitted to a powered hang glider (PHG). His value-added contribution to any project is of highest quality for which he was personally endorsed by Dr A K Ghosh—Head, Flight Laboratory (ex-Dean) IIT Knapur.

Mr. Parameshwaran is currently engaged with a project to develop a seven-seater airboat as per international marine standards. The propulsion and control systems are above the water, making it ideal for operations in as little as 1 inch of water or marshy areas. The airboat can be used for search and rescue operations, or as a water ambulance with three stretchers and one paramedic.
